Marcus Jones

Marcus Jones was formed in March of 2006 by partners Monika Matanovic and James Morog.

But it was the year before that was the most significant for the pair. While in the summer of late 2005, James complained of the lack of options he had when it came to sleepwear.

Women have designer labels specially designed for any occasion in the evening and in the bedroom. Men didn't have the same luxury.

It was then the idea of designing a quality, new age luxury sleepwear for today's man was born. Both knew little about starting or running a business but they definitely had the credentials.

Monika is a graduate of FBI Fashion College in Sydney, where she also designed an end of year graduation range which was displayed in front of media and very well-regarded and respected industry experts.

Monika has continued her education by working for some of the industry's best established and up and coming designers including Alice McCall, Camilla and Marc, Jayne Leslie (founder of the Sumahki label), Zimmerman and most recently Premonition.

Monika's talents for design and tailoring are what set Marcus Jones apart from other men's sleepwear labels.

While James brings something different to the partnership. He is an accredited member of the financial industry working specifically within the Stockbroking and banking industry for over 3 years and now nearing completion of a Business degree majoring in Marketing.

Marcus Jones is the name of a man they both once met at a social function. His natural sense of style was unmistakable. With an establishing career and a very active social lifestyle, Marcus Jones - the man - encapsulates everything the label stands for.

MJ - The initials for Marcus Jones is also coincidentally the first letters of the names Monika and James – making this the perfect pseudonym for the partnership.

Together they have formed a luxury sleepwear label which is based on the strong ethics of tailoring and quality with a firm sense street appeal for today's individual man. A step away from the traditional – something different – for a new generation.

Both designers believe in building a strong foundation in the marketplace. Quality and uniqueness is the key to the first Marcus Jones range of luxury sleepwear.
